Trap and Treat® is used to describe the technologies produced by Remediation Products Inc.: BOS 100®, CAT 100, BOS 200®, and BOS 200+®. The “Trap” phase involves the use of activated carbon to sequester the contaminants in place. The “Treat” phase involves applying a treatment mechanism to or incorporated within the activated carbon to treat the contaminants of concern. This involves biotic or abiotic processes depending on the technology used to break down the contaminants of concern.
