Real property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.

EPA's Brownfield Program

AST brings over 20 years of experience in remediating dilapidated and unused brownfield properties. These unique and challenging projects marry the two distinct operational units within our company, In-Situ Remediation and Environmental Construction. Examples of brownfield redevelopment sites that AST has remediated include gas stations, dry cleaners, and industrial properties. Contaminants of concern that have been addressed include but are not limited to,  petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, PCBs, and metals.

We support brownfield projects cradle to grave by first filling data gaps with high-density soil and groundwater sampling coupled with 3-D data visualizations using our unique qHRSC process that quantitatively defines the extent of contamination. We then develop a remediation strategy from a more comprehensive and quantitative conceptual site model (CSM). Once the remediation strategy is developed, AST can implement a myriad of tasks that include but are not limited to:

AST's team of experts have successfully completed hundreds of remediation projects across the globe. If you're dealing with contaminants like Petroleum hydrocarbons, PCBs, chlorinated solvents, etc. at an unused dilapidated property we can help!
