AST UTILIZES THE RPI PROJECT SUPPORT LABORATORY LOCATED IN GOLDEN, COLORADO TO PROVIDE ANALYTICAL SUPPORT FOR PROJECTS IN NORTH AMERICA AND BEYOND.

The Project Support Laboratory provides GCMS and/or selected inorganic analyses at no charge before, during, and after projects.

The upfront Remedial Design Characterization (RDC) work confirms or modifies the existing conceptual site model (CSM), develops surgical designs for our clients, and manages client expectations with respect to results and remedial timeframe. At large sites, this analytical capability facilitates monitoring of the remediation processes so potential product distribution voids can be corrected before AST leaves the site.

Laboratory analyses commonly performed include volatile organic compounds (VOCs) + total volatile petroleum hydrocarbons (TVPH) gasoline range organics (GRO) via Method 8260b, total petroleum hydrocarbons-diesel range organics (TPH-DRO) via Method 8015, Anions via Method 300.1 Ion Chromatography, and Dissolved Gases via Method RSK 175.

*Please note that the Project Support Laboratory is not a certified environmental laboratory. Compliance samples should always be sent to certified environmental laboratories. Given the quality of work performed by the RPI Project Support Laboratory, the analytical data generated has been accepted by most states and the USACE for the development of injection designs and post injection performance monitoring.
